My future worries me; I'm terrified since there's no assurance that everything will go according to plan. I've always been indecisive when it came to significant decisions about my future. My job option was entrepreneurship since it is something I have always wanted to pursue. The business world is so vast and diverse that it will undoubtedly push me beyond my comfort zone, but all I can do now is study hard and remember why I am in college.
I enjoyed a video that was given for our studies this week in which a professor discusses how to balance work and family life. If you're single and want to pursue start-ups, his suggestion is to stay single since start-ups may take up all of your time, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. If you have a family, he says, you must have rules, because else, start-ups will take over your life. Another thing that I felt would be beneficial is open communication; many people don't realize how important it is in whatever connection you may have throughout your life.
The speaker in another video that we had to view emphasized that the most valuable thing we have is our time, which is both significant and right. Time is everything, and as young adults, we often fail to recognize this vital component and begin wasting it right away. I learned the value of prioritizing the proper and worthwhile things in life that would help you develop and evolve as a person. Another piece of advice he gave was that he believes the best approach to generate value is to do the same thing for a long time, to stick with it, to develop with it, and to change with it.
