Hello, I hope you're having a great weekend! This week I was assigned to write a blog post based on Randy Pausch's last lecture. If you would like, you can view the lecture at this link here: (https://youtu.be/yVIvHKTNsqg). Today I will be talking about how Randy Pausch was able to achieve so many of his childhood dreams. Next, I will be sharing the importance, in my eyes, of dreams. Lastly, I will be talking about one of my childhood dreams and how I believe I can achieve it.
One of the biggest reasons I think that Randy Pausch was able to achieve so many of his childhood dreams is because he had such supportive parents. just one example that they shared of how his parents supported him was that when he was younger his parents let him paint his math equations on the walls to inspire creativity even though it would hurt the home's resale value.
I think that dreaming and having dreams are extremely important. I feel that without dreams we wouldn't have innovation or creativity and our world would be stuck in this century for centuries to come. Think about it... if we never had dreams and aspirations, we
would arguably never progress and we would just be stuck in the same state eternally.
My biggest childhood dream is to be able to have a lot of money so that I can be financially stable and also help others. I believe I can achieve this dream by working really hard and starting my own businesses and then choosing investments and reinvesting my profits into them. The first business I plan to start is going to be a freelancing business where I design and develop websites for people or companies. By doing this I am confident that I can achieve my dream.
