Hello, and I hope everyone is having a wonderful day and start to their weekends. This week I have been asked to reflect upon and describe my individual learning experiences from this week. I just want to start by saying that this week has been a long week for me and I have had a lot going on with school and friends and trying to stay on top of everything but I am finally getting around to writing my blog post for the week and I have hopes that next week will go a lot smoother.
This week, the learnings in my intro to entrepreneurship class were all about honesty and business ethics. I learned about how important it is to be honest and have integrity when it comes to business. Multiple people have said that if you end up doing anything sketchy in business, it will come out eventually so it is just better to not do anything unethical in the first place to avoid unfortunate events.
I also learned about risks in business and how important it is to have skin in the game or in other words how important it is for people to put time, effort, or money into the business. One quote I really liked was "when you take somebody's money, prepare for pain". This quote really stuck with me because I personally have 4 credit lines open and 3 loans so I have a little bit of experience borrowing money and how much it sucks to have to pay it back. lastly, I learned about the top 10 must-haves for a start-up business and the importance of these must-haves.
I am looking forward to continuing my education in this class and continuing to post these blog posts learning more about entrepreneurship and setting up my life goals.
