Bus 110 Final Reflection

Being willing to negotiate with the resistance to change is one of the biggest lessons I have learned during this winter semester. I have always struggled with procrastination and fear, I couldn’t be successful with my goals because of the pressure that I would put on myself. Realizing the importance of self-growth and putting effort in has proved to me that we are capable of everything we desire. I also had a lot of time to ponder on my passions, which led to realizing what I really want to do with my life and in my future. Another huge lesson that I have learned is the importance of networking especially in the business world. Networking can open a lot of doors, especially for career growth such as internships, jobs, and mentors. Knowing and discovering career options is still a process for me.

In my entrepreneurship class, one of the most important things that I have learned is the importance of experience. Another important thing is the importance of being a leader. Making it personal and making it work is also an important factor. Learning from the experiences and mistakes that were made throughout our lives can be a very valuable lesson in the future. It can be very challenging to learn from other people's mistakes, but once you learn that skill, you shouldn't worry about making the same mistakes or could already have solutions for that issue.

I want to be an entrepreneur. I've always believed in businesses with the potential to impact the world. I believe strongly in shaping the organization's culture and soul, and I've always believed that individuals don't truly join businesses; they join cultures. So, as a leader, you get to create a culture that is right for you, which is an incredible experience; you can never do that when you join a company; you can only do it when you start one.

College is a great time for discovering what you are passionate about. It gives you an opportunity to take different courses and analyze if that is what you like and can be successful at. I am planning on keep learning about business and all the small and big aspects of its world. I am looking forward to gaining more knowledge and applying for internships because it is a great experience for making a step forward into a big adult world. I am still lost and not quite sure what I am going to do after graduation but since it is only my sophomore year of college, I believe I have enough time to figure that out throughout the next few years.
